Hey, I’m Eva!

Being a college student in Los Angeles can feel like you’re being tugged in a million different directions at once, even more so as a student journalist constantly chasing after her next lede. I was so tired of being told what to write and when to write it! That was before I made Evao.me. Through investing in my own, independent platform I finally feel like I have the freedom to express my creative abilities with no bounds in sight—and I couldn’t be happier to have you join me.

I am currently studying Bilingual Spanish Journalism and International Relations at San Francisco State University. Some of the work that appears here can come from certain class assignments, as well as professional and personal work.

I created Evao.me with the simple goal of sharing my work with the world. However, as many writers know, the pieces we put together are often raw, genuine and extremely personal…that’s where you come in! I hope that as a reader you enjoy keeping up with the adventures and mishaps I detail here as well as accept my vulnerability + transparency as a way for you to grow with me along the way.
